BIOGRAPHY

Early life

Jacob was born on 22nd August 1997. He was raised in North Yorkshire, and attributes his creativity and activism to an upbringing amongst the Dales. He attended St.Aidan's CofE High School in Harrogate. Excelling in Sports, he enjoyed being an ambassador for Adidas and The Youth Sports Trust in the run-up to the London Olympic Games, until a back injury led him to take up acting as a new hobby in sixth form.

 

Acting

Jacob is best known for his roles in international hit Netflix series such as The Last Kingdom, The Stranger, Medici: The Magnificent, FATE:The Winx Saga and The A list. In the audio world, he is known as 'one of the UK's most prolific voice actors' - The Gentleman's Journal.

He is represented by The Artists Partnership, and can soon be seen starring alongside Ralph Fiennes in the 2025 Sony Pictures release 'The Choral', written by Alan Bennett.

Film-making

Whilst studying Film Production at the University of the Arts in London, Jacob began working with BBC WorldWide to produce content for Doctor Who: The Fan Show, BBC Classmates and 'The Great Curator', written by himself and British comedian Jon Culshaw (They later went on to produce 'The Solo Jedi', both comedy shorts).

His directorial debut "Save The Rhino Vietnam"(2017), (a film produced by Paul Blackthorne in association with charity Save The Rhino International), was well received, and had the backing of many celebrities including Chris Hemsworth and Matt Smith. WWF called it “Heart-Touching”, whilst online magazine TenEighty said it was “Stunning”.

In 2023, he created HG4 Productions, named lovingly after the postcode he grew up in, and it has since become a multi-award winning and critically acclaimed film production company.
